Biography

Musician, composer, performance and media artist, borne in Belgrade, former Yugoslavia, lives and works in Switzerland. 
Lara Stanic studied classical music, flute, Teacher and the Concert - Diploma with a focus on contemporary music at the University of the Arts Zürich and Bern. "Open Music Diploma" with a focus on New Music Theatre and Performance as well as the Diploma in - electronic music (Sound Arts) at the University of the Arts Bern.
Lara Stanic works as a composer and performer in the fields of contemporary music, music theatre, sound art and performance art. She develops her own stage performances and composes for ensembles, radio plays, dance and theatre. The connection of electronic and digital media with the musician's body as well as concert and interpretation situations are frequent themes in her work. In her experiments with electronics she tries to derive playful, poetic effects from technology.
