“Sonnenstand" is an electronic composition and performance for any number of musicians / performers with hand mirrors and live electronics, via smartphones.

The inspiration for this work was
Catching and reflecting light with the mirrors and using the movement of the mirrors to create and influence the sounds.
"Sonnenstans" is one of eight compositions for the Zurich Baroque Orchestra, objects and live electronics
as part of the project "Du matin au soir".
The composition was created for the musicians of the Zurich Baroque Orchestra. It is conceived as a "sound intervention" to the Symphony No.7 "Le Midi" by Joseph Haydn. The Piece "Sonnenstand" was played after the second movement of the Symphony.

The piece "Sonnenstand" can be performed as an independent composition, in other concerts and contexts. It is made for for any number of performers.
