Manuela Villiger (*1992) is a Swiss multimedia artist, saxophonist, and performer based in Olten, Switzerland. Trained as a classical saxophonist, she has shifted her focus mainly towards the creation of multimedia art, installations, and interdisciplinary music performances, incorporating live electronics, sensors, and new technologies. Her work reflects a profound fascination for organic processes in nature, especially within the human body. Additionally, she has a keen interest in exploring the complexities of social dynamics, structures, and identities. Regularly collaborating with international artists, she functions as both a composer and performer, and she is a member of eventuell., Ensemble Sargo, and BOLD. Manuela has been honored with cultural grants from the Canton of Solothurn (2016) and the City of Olten (2020). In 2023, she received a grant from the 'Landis & Gyr Foundation' for a six-month artist residency in London.
