Christian Zehnder was born in Zurich in 1961 and today lives in Basel. He studied the guitar and classical singing before moving on to overtone singing and bodily vocal techniques. In 1996 he teamed up with Balthasar Streiff to form the International multi-award-winning duo Stimmhorn. He has worked intensively on the non-verbal forms of expression in the human voice, as well as yodelling as a mode of communication. He works as a theatre musician and producer for music theatre and as a singer in various music line-ups, produces solo music projects in the fields of performance and visual arts, and composes for film, TV and radio.
