Born in Brazil in 1970, Malcolm Braff became involved in music in Dakar. He arrived in Switzerland at the age of 13 already equipped with a multicultural background and a spontaneous approach to the piano. Viewed by many musicians as something of a guru or godfather of Swiss jazz, he has been an outstanding figure in the world of music for more than 25 years.

He has released some twenty albums with various groups, including two on the prestigious Blue Note label and his most recent on Enja.
