Description

multiple personality disorder, is a mental disorder characterized by at least two distinct and relatively enduring personality states. The symptoms include the inability to recall personal information, trouble remembering certain events or loss of identity.
In the multiple personalities, the primary identity tends to be "passive, dependent, guilty and depressed" with other personalities being more active, aggressive or hostile. Most identities are of ordinary people, though historical, fictional, mythical, celebrity and animal identities are also common.
This piece shows a person with multiple personality disorder, with the pianist playing the main identity and the cellist, flutist and clarinetist performing the two other personalities.
As the personalities blur from time to time, at some points the flutist and the clarinetist have to play and interact with the piano, as if they were merging with the pianist into the same identity.
