This piece was entirely conceived and written during the pandemic, as a mean of enabling the creation of a work over long distance and without direct interaction between the participants.
Despite being a string quartet, the composition focuses on the individualities of each performer rather than seeking a common "string" sound.
To this end, the concept includes a process of "unfolding" the personal and musical characteristics of each one of the performers, told through psychological, musical and skill tests.
The audiovisual material that compound the final work is a result of assembling information about each performer and their musical persona.
The whole process took place through collaborative apps such as zoom. The participants never met until few hours before the premiere.
