Ori für Violine und Horn

„Ori“ ist der Name eines Doppelsternes im Sternbild „Orion“. Das häufig anzutreffende astronomische Phänomen ist die Folge ungeheurer Gravitationskräfte, die bewirken, dass zwei Sterne um einen gemeinsamen Kräftepol kreisen. Gravitationsphänomene die zwischen Tönen und Instrumentalklängen wirksam werden, haben meine Kompositionsweise seit den allerersten Versuchen geprägt. Wechselwirkungen zwischen dem Rauminstrument Horn und der äusserst beweglichen und im Timbre komplementär zum Blechblasinstrument klingenden Violine führen zu elliptischen Klangstrukturen, die unendliche musikalische Dimensionen durchmessen können.
„Ori“ is an astonishing astronomic system of two stars running one around the other, having a common center of gravity discovered in the frame of the constellation „Orion“.
In fact, my way of composing is based on musical constellations featuring elements who are, interacting in function of their density, of their contrasting structure regarding the homogenity or heterogenity and of the attracting or rejection forces created by the specificity of the instruments.
The horn acts as a central pole of gravitation due to his dense sound and his incredible dynamic spectrum with a strong reverberation in the musical space (Alphorn! Hunt!). The violin reacts with its suppleness, its virtuosity and with its great potential in metamorphosing the musical material creating a „sound trail“.
