Jonas Kocher is a sound artist and accordionist born in 1977. He is working with personalities from various backgrounds and in numerous artistic and social contexts. Jonas Kocher has a strong interest in process oriented works, unstable situations and improvisation. He currently works in duo with Joke Lanz, in a trio with Axel Dörner and Jacques Demierre, in a duo with Gaudenz Badrutt, in a trio with Hans Koch and Gaudenz Badrutt, with Tomaž Grom and Bertrand Denzler and the Šalter Ensemble. He also has the chance to collaborate sometimes with Radu Malfatti, Irena Tomažin, Kasper T.Toeplitz, Eiko Yamada, Christian Kobi, Christof Kurzmann, Michel Doneda, Kai Fagaschinsky, Chiyoko Szlavnic and many others.
As sound artist he has realised works that are situated between composed theatre, installation and concert pieces.
