En avril 2009, John Michet obtient son diplôme d’enseignement piano à la SSPM dans la classe de Gilles Landini.
Pendant ses études, il dirige plusieurs chœurs de la région neuchâteloise avec lesquels il fait vivre la musique vocale dans sa région et entendre plusieurs de ses compositions. Il utilise les chœurs aussi comme « laboratoire de composition ». Il a obtenu son «Master en composition et théorie musicale» en septembre 2020 à la Haute école des arts de Berne (HKB) dans la classe de Xavier Dayer.
Il est professeur de piano à l’école internationale de Lausanne (ISL), en privé à Boudry et à Coffrane au sein de la Société Suisse de Pédagogie Musicale (SSPM) dont il préside la section neuchâteloise et du Réseau des Professeurs de Musique du Val-de-Ruz (ReProMRuz).
Il est organiste-pianiste au temple de Saint-Blaise.
John se produit comme pianiste soliste, en musique de chambre et comme accompagnateur. Il fait partie du trio « OperaShots » avec Céline Steudler-Jaques et Gabriella Cavasino en tant que pianiste accompagnateur, acteur, chanteur et technicien.
Il se produit également dans le spectacle « Peer Gynt » comme pianiste et acteur avec Gabriel Ducommun.
John a suivi plusieurs Masterclass piano avec Edith Fisher et Josep Colom et en composition avec Gilbert Nouno, Simon Steen-Andersen et Stephan Prins.
Il a créé l’association « Aura, nouvelle musique » pour faire vivre ses compositions.
Plusieurs d’entre-elles sont visibles sur YouTube comme ; le spectacle « Détournements » pour deux percussionnistes et objets du quotidien, un « Kyrie » pour chœur, soprano solo et orchestre, « La Passion du Christ » pour piano et électronique et orateur, ou d’autres sont audibles sur sa chaîne SoundCloud.

During his studies, he directed several choirs in the Neuchâtel region with which he brought vocal music to life in his region and heard several of his compositions. He also uses the choirs as a “composition laboratory”. He is a piano teacher at the international school of Lausanne (ISL), privately in Boudry and Coffrane within the Swiss Society of Musical Pedagogy (SSPM) of which he chairs the Neuchâtel section and the Network of Music Teachers of Val-de-Ruz (ReProMRuz).
He is organist-pianist at the Saint-Blaise temple.
John performs as a solo pianist, chamber musician and accompanist. He is part of the “OperaShots” trio with Céline Steudler-Jaques and Gabriella Cavasino as accompanying pianist, actor, singer and technician.
He also performs in the show “Peer Gynt” as pianist and actor with Gabriel Ducommun.
