Born in Basel in 1988. Early musical training in the Basel Boys' Choir and boy soloist in productions at the Basel Theatre. Studied musicology, history and Eastern European studies at the University of Basel, as well as choral conducting with Johannes Meister and Gonzague Monney; composition lessons with Balz Trümpy and Ernst Pfiffner, among others. Scholarship holder and further training in masterclasses with Helmuth Rilling and Simon Halsey in Paris, Barcelona and Edmonton, among others.
Director of various choirs and ensembles in Switzerland, conductor of the Männerstimmen Basel. Realisation of diverse choir projects with established artists, concert series and cultural institutions. Regular engagements for masterclasses and specialist coaching in the field of vocal music and composition. Commissioned works for professional ensembles, festival contributions and CD productions, supplemented by musicological editions and publications in specialist journals.
Since 2021, director of the Kulturkirche Paulus in Basel. President of the Association of Choral Conductors of Northwestern Switzerland with over 100 professional choral conductors, juror at competitions and active as project manager, tour manager and producer of several concert series and recordings.
