Pascal Viglino is a Swiss musician from Bern with roots in Valais. He studied percussion and music theatre at the conservatories of Geneva, London, Barcelona, Berlin and Bern. He was awarded the Cultural Recognition Prize of the Canton of Bern (2012) and the Cultural Promotion Prize of the Canton of Valais (2015). Since 2025, he has been Artistic Director of the Schlossmediale Festival in Werdenberg.
As a percussionist and timpanist, he has performed with the Academia d’Orquesta del Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), the Orquesta do Algarve, the Verbier Festival Orchestra and the Durban Philharmonic, touring more than forty countries. He regularly collaborates with ensembles such as Camerata Bern, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Zurich Opera, the Kammerorchester Basel and various contemporary music groups (Eklekto, Contrechamps, …).
In 2011, he founded Klangbox, a platform combining music with other art forms. A versatile artist, he has led workshops and projects in institutions across Switzerland and abroad, and presented his work at the Verbier Art Summit and the Festival Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo. In 2020, he created ludwiig.ch, which has since delivered nearly 2,000 musical performances in French-speaking Switzerland and earned him a place among the Digital Shapers 2021.
